Viking and Saxon Buckles, strapends and sets


All buckles and strapends are available in sets or individually and come with rivets of the relevant metal. The buckle plates are always 2.5cm long with a stamped design (even if the picture doesn't show this).


Borre bird buckle set

This buckle and strapend are made for a one inch belt (25mm) . Early viking bird design with granulation in the Borre style, based on a the "Vaerne Kloster mount" from Norway 9th century. Comes with cast plate and integrated rivets.

Manx ring chain buckle set

Buckle and strapend are made for a three quarter inch belt (19mm). The strapend is based on a find from Norway, but the design is best known from a stone carving on the Isle of Man. Comes with cast plate and integrated rivets.

Buckle found in Russia, strapends from Hungary. This set has a smaller strapend to fit the secondary strap that is found on typical eastern belts.
