Large Hiberno Norse buckle from the island of Eigg in Scotland.
The buckle features deeply engraved designs on the top, sides and undersides of the buckle and plate. The bossed rivets are integrated in to the buckle plate (originals were separate and are now partly missing. the buckle plate also features an engraved animal face at the base.
The buckle is 8.5cm long, 7mm thick and made to fit a half inch belt. It is available in bronze (as original) and tin plated bronze.
