A 13th century cross from North Yorkshire. The original is gilded silver with an 8mm x 6mm amethyst cabochon in the centre, held in a petal type setting
The front of the cross features engraved letter "S" on each arm. On the reverse are inscribed the letters S on the top arm, I E V across the side arms and S on the lower arm, to be read as IESVS (Jesus).
31mm x 25mm.
Available in silver, gilded silver or gilded brass.
