Copies of the small buckle and mounts from the Sutton Hoo burial.
There are a couple of theories on what these were used for. Using them as part of the scabbard suspension strap, is the current theory.
With the layout of rivets and the separate backplates, the mounts definitely aren't strapends (despite their shape).
Buckle is 38mm long with an opening for a 16mm strap. The buckle plate and mounts would fit an 18mm strap. Mounts are 18mm x 30mm.
The set is all gilded brass, with red resin to simulate the garnets from the originals.
Comes with gilded backplates and gilded rivets.
