A large silver, saxon disc brooch from Beeston tor in England. The brooch is covered in deeply engraved trewhiddle design. The design has a black varnish in the engraved lines, to simulate the black niello from the original. Late 8th century. The original is in the British museum colection.
The brooch fitting on the back isn't the same as the original but is typical of the period and much stronger than the style used on the original.
Only available in silver. 7.5cm x 7.5cm
