A pendant from Sweden, that depicts a ritualistic dancer, often referred to as a spear dancer. The Swedish History Museum dates the Ekhammer dancer to anywhere from 550 to 799 but stylistically it fits in with other examples from 550-650.

They're thought to be depictions of people taking part in a ritual dance as part of the rites of a warrior cult (possibly devoted to Odin/Woden etc). 35mm x 22mm.Original is Bronze.
