This piece i sbased on a late 11thc brooch from Norway. The brooch is a mixture of urnes and Romanesque style. The animal's body is seen in profile with its head to the right. The neck turns upwards and forwards, while the head is turned back and meets the body's chest .
There is also a small suspension ;loop on the back, alongh woith the brooch fittings.
The original is bronze.
