Cruciform crossbow brooch. The foot is of twisted pattern and the top of the bow is an animal head (horse or boar?). Under the animal head is a circular plate decorated with a punched chi-rho design. From this round plate spring three knobs and the spring of the pin is carried behind it. Blue cabochon stones in the eye sockets. The original is in the British museum, dates from the 4th or 5th century and was found in Sussex. The original is gilded silver.
