2nd century buckle from the Roman fort of Richborough in Kent. A thick buckle in cast bronze with resin to simulate the enamel cells in the original. A real Romano British design on a very Roman item. There's also a very similar buckle from Caerleon in Wales.
9cm long, plate 18mm wide. Buckle ring will take an 18mm strap. 4 rivets are incorporated in to the backplate.
