Second century, Roman zoomorphic brooch in the form of a seated greyhound. The overall form of the brooch is reminiscent of a Romano-British Dragonesque booch. The brooch is finely cast and the bronze surface has been tinned to give a silver finish. The tinning covers the whole front surface and extends onto the rim of the hollow cast back. The original was found in the uk.
