A copy of the large Aesica brooch from Great Chesters Roman fort in Northumbria. This is a style of brooch that became popular among the Romano British during the first century AD. This is a great example of the typical trumpet patterns of the British Iron age. This is available in gilded brass (like the original). 11cm x 6.4cm and 4.2cm high at the top of the bow.
